WWI gun display by Ken Johnson at Taggart Hall as part of a Pig Roast fund raiser. 1 p.m - 5 p.m. This event is rescheduled from June 2nd.
July 4, 2018
Kickoff of WWI Commemoration activities. More details to follow. May not include a special event; we are encouraging people and organizations to start displaying WWI memorabilia at that time and continuing through November 11th.
August 4, 2018
In connection with the Peach Festival there will be a WWI weapons display at the Library in Romney.
November, 2018
November 3rd, Saturday at 2 p.m. There will be a WWI Commemoration Music Event at the Heritage Co-op and Marketplace.

November 11th, 2018 Sunday - Armistice Day (Veterans Day) - multi-faceted
celebration in Romney planned by the VFW to include presentation of colors, lunch, speakers and military equipment displays. Event will begin at 12:30 p.m. at the Doughboy Statue in front of the Courthouse. Then it will move to Celebration Park by the Town Office at 1 p.m. From there to the Bottling Works at 1:30 followed by a lunch at 2:30 p.m. There will be some displays and a speaker.
