From the east

From Winchester, Virginia take U.S. Route 50 West into West Virginia and continue to Capon Bridge.
Rt. 50 is accessible from I-81, from the Rt. 37 Bypass or from the center of town.


 
 
Approach from Cumberland, MD

If you are approaching Cumberland from the East or are in Downtown Cumberland:
From Cumberland, Maryland take Rt. 28 south to Short Gap, Springfield and Romney.  Rt. 28 can be accessed from
the heart of Cumberland via Industrial Blvd. and Canal Parkway.  Canal Parkway takes you to the C&O canal and the
Potomac River where you cross into West Virginia and pass by the airport.  Follow Rt. 28 to Romney. At the light and Courthouse in Romney turn East (left) onto U.S. Rt. 50 to Capon Bridge.
 
  If you are approaching Cumberland on I-68 from the West:
LaVale exit
Take the LaVale - Vocke Road Exit South.  Follow Rt. 53 South to Cresaptown and join Rt. 220 South (left turn at light).  Follow Rt. 220 past the town & retail area into the wide valley.  Turn Left onto Rt 956 to Short Gap and Romney.  Cross the North Branch of the Potomac and follow on to Short Gap.  In Short Gap turn South (right) onto Rt. 28 to Romney.  At the light and Courthouse in Romney turn East (left) onto U.S. Rt. 50 to Capon Bridge.
