Rogers Family Cemetery, Bloomery, WV.

Lat:3921.865N; Lon:07822.573W.

From the VA/WV border on Rt.127, travel about 1.5 miles into the county. You will come to the top of the hill and the road will turn to the right and then to the left. At the bottom of the hill, you will see a stone house on the right. Across Rt.127 from this house there is a large field. This cemetery is located on the far side of this field, about centered and about 10 yards or so into the woods.

This cemetery is one of those that will be lost in time in the next few years. What I was told about this cemetery is that at one time there was a house in the vacinity, but has long since disappeared. The graves at one time had a rock wall around it, and it too has almost been lost in time.

  • No names available at this time, but there appears to be 6 or 7 unmarked graves.
