Concord Cemeteries, Lehew, WV.
includes Spaid and Pennington Cemeteries
Located West of Lehew, 2.2 miles on Rt. 23/2 (Eldridge Road) to the cemetery, which is about 100 feet to the right in a large grove of trees.
This cemetery has almost been completely destroyed by cattle with only two stones with writing visible and several broken pieces protruding from the ground. According to the present owner several old stones and perhaps three remains have been removed. We do not know where they may have been reinterred. There are some stones which indicate the location of the church. The W.P.A. veterans burial project has a map for this cemetery.
This cemetery has also been known as the Old Timber Ridge Christian Church Cemetery. Beside it is the Spaid family cemetery and across the road is the Pennington family cemetery. No stones are readable in these cemeteries. Please let us know if you have any information on any of these three cemeteries.
